No-Dig is innovation

The International NO-DIG 2019 is the most representative worldwide event created for the promotion of trenchless technologies and their application in the infrastructure works sector. Every year the fair is hosted in the country where an affiliate of the International Society for Trenchless Technology (ISTT) resides. This year Italy was chosen and therefore the organization of the conference was entrusted to the Italian Association for Trenchless Technology (IATT).

IATT has chosen “Fortezza da Basso”, a Renaissance castle in the heart of Florence that will host the conference from September 30th to October 2nd. the location, in addition to being extremely suggestive, has a total surface area of 80,000 square meters on several levels, numerous conference rooms, meeting rooms and an outdoor exhibition area that can also accommodate large industrial machinery.

The most important exponents of the trenchless technologies sector will take part in the conference, from the technological and equipment manufacturing companies to the executing companies passing through the scientific community.

Being one of the most active members of IATT we could not miss it and in fact we will be present at stand No. 26 just after the main entrance of the Spadolini pavilion.

But it does not end here, on the second day of the conference (01/10) we will hold our industry workshop at 10:00 am in “Room D”; during which we will present our company, the results achieved in the last period and our most representative case histories. The characteristic that unites all our most prestigious projects is that of being able to go beyond the state of the art of the Horizontal Controlled Drilling technique, pushing it beyond its limits and discovering new frontiers of application. Furthermore it must be recognized that the application of all No-Dig technologies leads to an economic saving, considering the entire life cycle of the work, and the reduction of the impact on the environment and on negative externalities.

Several studies have been produced that show how the application of these techniques is advantageous in terms of: reduction of the circulation of the work vehicles, reduction of CO2 emissions, reduction of excavation material and inconveniences for everyday life.

It is time for the No-Dig to be recognized as an innovation in the field and to be applied increasingly on a large scale; so the International No-Dig is the perfect opportunity to make information and training on the subject.
